Beyond the Icons: Discovering Hidden Gems


Maria Clara, an inspiring English teacher from Brazil, joined me for a photoshoot during her English exchange programme in London. Having spent a month soaking up the city’s cosmopolitan lifestyle, she had already connected with London’s rhythm and charm. My mission was to capture not just her memories but also the essence of her experience in this vibrant city.


Over the course of three hours, we explored some of London’s most iconic landmarks — Westminster, Big Ben, the London Eye, Southbank and Tower Bridge. Each location brought its own unique atmosphere to the session, and I was determined to ensure that Maria Clara’s time in London was immortalised in a way she could treasure for years to come. So, our adventure didn’t stop at the famous sights.


As someone who has lived in the city for five years, I’ve learned to appreciate—and love sharing—London’s hidden gems with my clients. These lesser-known spots are full of charm, character, and often feel like scenes straight out of a movie.
